Our editorial approach

This website is published by America Is the Way PAC. Our values and policy judgments reflect the committee’s perspective. We identify examples, explain calculations, and link to primary background sources where relevant.

Evidence and opinion

A hypothetical example demonstrates a concept; it does not establish what happened in a real place. A stated preference or proposed decision method is opinion. A factual claim about an agency’s published method should be traceable to that agency’s documentation. We do not treat a source citation as an endorsement.

How the videos are made

The Civic Toolkit uses AI-assisted writing, an artificial narration voice, original explanatory graphics, and captions. The videos do not depict actual events or a human presenter. The numerical examples are invented for instruction, and their arithmetic is available in the companion pages.

Corrections

Please send a page title, the exact statement, and a supporting source to americaisthewaypac@gmail.com. Substantive corrections should be identified on the affected page with the date and the corrected statement. The publication date is not a guarantee that outside information will remain unchanged.

Funding and advertising

Political contributions and any advertising revenue are different funding sources. Advertising does not constitute the committee’s endorsement of an advertiser. Sources and examples are selected for their relevance to the explanation.
